Alan Mason, Managing Director of Mason’s Travel in the Seychelles says: “We Are Ready!”

For hundreds of years our remote island nation had remained untouched and unexplored, serving as an important haven for migratory birds and animals that thrived in this protected environment. In 2020, the same can be said of Seychelles by the modern tourism industry: our islands are safe and ready for visitors!

Pioneering the re-launch of Indian Ocean tourism, Seychelles was among the first countries in the region to open their borders to international tourists back in August 2020. Since then, our cautious observations have shown that the steps taken to keep our clients and population safe, while engaging in economic activity and providing an authentic island experience, have been a resounding success. With the guidance of the Department of Health, WHO and local tourism stakeholders,  we have used this period to develop our teams and reassess our operations. We are confident that now – more than ever – Seychelles is a safe, world-class holiday destination.

We are ready for the world to experience Seychelles: our home, your sanctuary.

The natural beauty is what sets the Seychelles apart from other islands in the Indian Ocean. You can see centuries-old giant tortoises in their natural habitat and, if you’re lucky, you may see the rare national bird, the Seychelles Black Parrot, or stranger still, the ancient jellyfish tree!

The bird life and fish species are spectacular. There are several unique species of orchid and, of course, the unique Coco de Mer on the island of Praslin.
